Day 1 at cardigan Mountain September 22 2021

When we wanted to cardigan right away there was a white building and a small hill with solar panels. We learned how to read a map and we also played a little game called mountain baseball. We had whistles with us to be safe on that day. I also got a fountain pen. We did the back 80 loop. There was a lot of farmland and a very old house worn down from rain. It was made of rock and there weren't many rocks left. We crossed some bridges on the trail. When we got on the road I got to use the map. I had lots of water with me. We also did a lot of sketches on the back 80 loop. There was a huge waterfall. It was very cool. On day 1 I assigned a region because there are lots of hemlock trees on the trail . We also saw regions of birch trees but mainly we saw hemlocks. There were a lot of different regions of stuff on the back 80 loop and not just trees but that is why I picked region for day 1.
